Dear One —  Everything happens for a reason and it serves us!  I have always believed that. How about you?  So–What about Hurricane Ian?

It prevented me from getting out the newsletter last week–my 13th issue!  Since I was born on Friday the 13th I have always considered 13 lucky for me.

And the Hurricane was looking like it could possibly be a direct hit here — and it takes days of preparing since my back yard is like a 2-acre park and we put away the tables and chairs, benches and statues, and all the kids toys, and ready the animals outside and inside….and on and on and on.

But as we waited — at the end of this YIN cycle — without internet much of the time — it was a great time to pause and reflect and prepare for what’s next.

I am just not afraid — so I never worried for my safety — but so many were crazed with fear … and not stepping back into their center to ask who was afraid and why.

My Unity Bookclub is studying it together right now and its message is that our fears and drama are all just thought energy … and that when we just step back and ask “who is thinking that thought?” … we discover that person is a calm, centered observer … and when we just watch those thoughts pass by … they cannot affect us.  And if we just let them go — we are free!  We are then an Untethered Soul.

For the most part, I am an untethered soul.  And as I step back as the watcher, I realize that I am in alignment with my soul purpose when I teach what I am learning on my stairway to heaven.

As far back as I can remember (and I can remember being pushed in a baby buggy!), I have been connected to God and his/her Creation.  As far back as I can remember, I have been asking to be of service.  And as far back as I can remember, I have been teaching.

Oh — we are fine.  The hurricane blew down truckloads of branches but did no real damage or flooding here.  It will be weeks before we get everything back out in the yard again though … Just in time for my Tai Chi Gung Classes that I am holding in my Orchid Garden.

Fantastic Fungi!

I  watched a Netflix documentary called Fantastic Fungi — twice — because it was awesome!  And it inspired me to grow mushrooms.  I ordered Shitaki and Lion’s Mane mushroom growing kits to get started. Click here to see the Shitaki kit I ordered. Click here for the Lion’s Mane kit.

OMG, it is so easy and fast.  Look at what I grew in less than a week!  I also found a kit for growing Magic Mushrooms but I’m not going there.  I also have so many mushrooms growing in my yard … I am trying to find out what ones are edible.  Watch the documentary! Mushrooms could save our world.  You will be amazed at the information.
